Choc Bliss Balls

Recipe: Chocolate Bliss Balls

6 dates (100g)
1 cup almonds (150g)
¼ cup raw cacao powder
1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
2 tablespoons coconut oil
Fine desiccated coconut

Soak the dates for 2 hours until soft. Drain the dates but keep the water in a cup for later.

Blend or grind the almonds until a rough powder. Add the cacao and cinnamon and mix well. Blend the dates and add to the mixture. Add the coconut oil and stir until it is mixed well. The mixture may be a bit dry so you can add some of the drained date water to soften it. The consistency should be moist as it will harden as the almonds soak up the fluid.

Roll the mixture into small balls and dip into the desiccated coconut. Keep in a sealed container for 1 week in the fridge. Alternatively you can make a larger amount and freeze the bliss balls. Then you can take out the number you need each day or each week.
